Welcome
to Our School
The Willows will provide a stable and positive learning environment where each pupil can develop at their own pace to achieve personal and academic successes. Our academic offer will be delivered through a holistic and experiential curriculum in a therapeutic environment. Aspirational targets of formal qualifications will be driven by staff at all stages of a pupil’s learning journey, and our hope is that GCSE, Functional Skills or equivalent outcomes will be reached at KS4.
The core of our offer is based around a vision where all pupils feel safe, valued, and happy at school regardless of any existing or emerging barriers to learning. A great deal of care has been taken to ensure that the school provides a nurturing, therapeutic, and stimulating environment adapted to the individual needs of our pupils.
At The Willows School we understand that uniform can be overwhelming for students, but we also understand the importance of having a uniform in school for many reasons. We want to create a sense of belonging whilst being inclusive to all students and teach our students the importance of appearance, whilst ensuring that all of our students feel the same in school.
We have considered the needs of our children and have sought to find the least invasive and demanding uniform approach. Our uniform is Teal for Primary, Green for Secondary with the school logo, and consists of the following:
-
Jumper
-
White polo shirt
-
Black/Grey trousers or joggers; skirt or shorts (not cycling shorts)
-
White t-shirt with black/grey joggers/shorts and pumps/trainers for PE and Active Citizens
-
Sensible, comfortable shoes

If specific items are required for Active Citizens (e.g wellingtons or waterproof jackets) parents will be made aware in advance.Ears are permitted to have one pair of studs for primary students, these must removed on PE days. Children in upper school are required to wear sensible ear studs and remove them for PE and outdoor education activities.Children may wear a watch to school but no smartwatches must not be connected to mobile phones. Children should not wear makeup to school.
